This is a much better Pink Floyd sync than the Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz was (which never made sense to me). The beginning feels like it could almost be a video for the song, while the transitions in tempo line up magnificently with the visual changes of Kubrick’s movie. Thanks to Brandon for bringing this one to my attention!
As part of his talk at FOWD London 2009, the Future Of Web Design seminar, Mike Kus screened this short film to help illustrate the process he went through when designing the individual slides for his presentation. I always find it so inspiring to see other artists’/designers’ techniques in motion.

’cause I’m in the movie-makin’ business now! That’s right, I’ve finally completed my arduous task of compiling the many, many photos we shot at Yellowstone back in ‘06 into a small slideshow. This project began last year, but I walked away from it midway through. After a butt-load of editing I now have a nice li’l movie to share with you. Exporting it to the web proved damned difficult, but I think I finally got it. It’s a bit smaller than I would like, but that’s how it’s gotta be. Currently, it’s for Quicktime only, so if you’re running XP, make sure you have the latest free player. If you still can’t see it, let me know.
I’ve added a video page to my galleries for future reference, but you can jump ahead with this here shortcut. Continue »
