yeah, i know it’s a difficult word to pronounce, but i have faith in you. sound it out. shoogle-nifty. i first discovered this band through a (highly recommended) compilation cd that i picked up at a small celtic shop while on vacation with the family in gatlinburg. dollywood, to be exact. anyway, i’d been familiar with your everyday, traditional celtic music for a while, with the bagpipes and flutes and such, but this new style absolutely blew me away. nothing traditional about it. strictly instrumental and great for all weathers, be it driving, studying, working or entertaining. so anyway, the band had 2 songs on the compilation which really got my attention….and i just wanted more. so i bought the arms dealer’s daughter and was amazed with their sheer energy. great pickin’, too. but alas, that’s the extent of my experience with them, so far. i’ve got a coupla’ other albums in sight for the near future, which i expect will be just as great, if not more so. but enough about that:

less babble, more music. give it a listen.
