~ February 11th, 2009 ~

Peoples, peoples, what is going on? I hope everyone is kicking loud and true in these desperate days of growing tensions. God Bless the almighty dollar, eh?

Anyway, I’m starting to realize that I’m late in keeping up with my resolutions. I’ve yet to start on the new pieces for my next art show, but that may change within the next week. Also, I created Project Chunkybutt and am making it public with hopes of motivating myself to shed some unwanted poundage. I’m not gonna make any progress charts or the like for you guys to glance over, so don’t get your hopes up. Another resolution, quitting smoking, has failed rather miserably before it even began. I needs m’li’l soldiers!

The ol’ iTunes library is filling up again quite nicely, although I’ve rebuilt only 1/3 of what I’d lost. But I can start building playlists again and that is super cool! I paid my monies and got my player back into full action, so look for some jamming tuneage to come shortly. This will inevitably lead to some changes in my blog’s design as I continue to slowly incorporate my Grand Plan of restructuring this thing into a more complex, more professional, and more informative site. Other than that, I’m still trudging along trying to come up with some solid designs for Me & Trav’s Ultimate Gig. Gotta stay focused though, cause I’m starting to feel stretched a bit thin with all of these things on my plate. But then again, what’s new about that?

In work related news, I’m finally closing in on wrapping up the final cover comps for our Fall ‘09 Catalog/Sales Kit. This is something that’s taken my complete focus for the past 3 weeks with 20+ titles and about 30 different comps altogether. Quite a haul. Of course, these are temporary covers, but the goal is to get them as close to ‘finished’ as possible until time comes for the titles to go to print. All in all, it’s a definite relief to be near the end of what I have come to call my Million Cover Marathon. I’m thinking about adding another gallery or two to showcase some of my work to help illustrate some of what I’m doing here at Menasha. I’ll need to check up on any permissions required first.

Well, that’s about it for this session. I’m off to do something productive.

More as it comes.

Whatcha Think?

Good luck with all the stuff you got going on. Your plate is very full. Just remember to sleep.
I hope that the permissions are ok on the work stuff. It would be cool to see.

Are you including some T Rex in your iTunes library this time around? Har har har.
