Well, hello there peoples. Let me start off with a somewhat belated Happy New Year to you. I hope everyone is doing well and in good spirits as we turn the corner into 2009. Unlike last year, I didn’t slip up writing old dates on my checks this time. Score!
Anyway, things are moving both forward and backward currently, but all the while remain somewhat stable. I ran into some technical problems with my computer lately which has caused me some grief and headache, and has even delayed some things I had planned, but I’ve been able to get most things back in order. I’m slowly coming back ’round to this blog now that I’ve finally completed my album, which some of you received for xmas. I sincerely hope you guys enjoy it as it’s quite personal to me. Anyone who didn’t receive a copy may give a listen also. I’ve stuck it in the player on the front page. It may get moved in the future after my massive redesign/relaunch is complete, but for now that’s where it’ll be. **EDIT— there seems to be a problem with the player. Apparently, Firefox and Mac OSX are having Java issues, so if you’re a Mac and all you see is a black box instead of the songs, please be patient. I’m trying to figure it out.**
I’ve also been reconnecting with old friends via Facebook and look forward to catching up with everyone. I’ve also got a Twitter account where I post updates less frequent than I do here. What can I say? At any rate, I’m trying to keep up with the social networking biz in hopes of establishing a professional identity within the world. Me and Trav are again in the works on some big ideas for projects to let loose on you, so stay tuned for release notes. I feel a lot of long nights of little sleep approaching as I attempt to handle many, many things at once. I just hope my aging computer is up to the challenge.
I’m still planning on showcasing some new art in a gallery this year. Nothing is set in stone yet as to where or when, but I’m still thinking Mobile simply because I’ve never shown there before. I haven’t actually started the pieces yet, but intend to get the ball rolling very soon. . . while it’s still cold out. That’s not a hint btw, but just something that’s partially required for my idea, which in and of itself isn’t wholly envisioned. But since last year didn’t prove to be quite as productive as I’d hoped (because of the album taking so much of my time), I’ll need to make extra effort to get these things done.
Ummmmmmm. . . oh yeah! I just made the last payment for my car! After 5 years of mailing off li’l pieces of paper, I’ll now be receiving a bigger piece of paper proclaiming me as the rightful owner of a kickass piece of fuel efficient machinery. In your face! Let’s just hope it doesn’t crap out on me now.
Well, that’s about it for now. I’m off to relink myself with all the many notes and ideas I made for my redesign. Hopefully, I can get the gears moving fast and steady and not be in transition for very long. And with that, I bid you. . .
Ciao for now.

Way to go with the car! I bet it felt like it was never going to happen.
I second Audrey’s comments: The album is absolutely wonderful. It is very impressive and meaningful. Congrats.
