WONDERFUL!! 9 years after the shit hit the fan in the first installment (2001:A Space Odyssey) and still no one knows what the hell is going on. But now the Soviets are teamed up with the US in a race against the Chinese to recover the mess and search for clues. Besides this, you’ve got another big mess, an alien entity visits the earth, and a planet converted into a mini sun which are a few of the major happenings in this great follow-up to the brilliance of 2001. You also meet Heywood Floyd who becomes a character you can kinda relate to. Anyway, we’re finally let in on the secret of the mysterious cosmic cutting boards later on in the book and it’s well worth the wait. pretty friggin’ cool if you ask me. Anyway, I could say a whole lot more about this book, but I don’t want to give anything away. I’d definitely recommend this one to ya.
