Who knew that Steely Dan would ever end up on my audio player? I’ve never had much exposure to the band in the past, even when I heard one of their hits on the radio, I didn’t know who it was. Well, thanks to dad my library has become a bit more enriched with some great classic rock. I’ve been listening to these songs here at work for the past week and absolutely love it! The music is nicely structured and the lyrics are both humorous and a bit cryptic at the same time. My favorite examples are Kid Charlemagne and Reelin’ In The Years. While these are simply ‘the best of’, I plan to explore their individual albums to see if I’ve missed any more hidden treasures.
